Been receiving false notifications about the shut off of web root anti virus and window defender. It has been 1 month and you guys are still working on it??? How long does it takes? I am so dissatified with your product--i would like to cancelled it out and go back to Trend>>> This is ridiculous ....

Welcome to the Community Forums...and sorry to hear that you are not happy.

 

 

All I can say at present is that Webroot are working on a fix and the Beta Testing group have been evaluating fixes but unfortunately whilst the seem to work for some they do not for all...but hopefully there will be a permanent fix soon. The problem would appear to be one of Microsoft's making and no sooner has Webroot developed a fix then then next set of updates from MS seem to destabilise that fix for some users.

 

Please do not worry as despite what the warnings say WSA is on and protecting you.

 

However, if you are determined to leave the Webroot fold then you best bet is to contact Sales (please see the contact details here) and speak to them about it. If you are within 70 days of your original purchase date they you would have recourse to the 70 day money back guarantee.

Hi tomsmith123 - sorry to hear about your frustrations. When I installed Webroot Secure anywhere on my laptop I disconnected windows defender that way I don't have any conflict between apps and I know I'm fully protected with Webroot.

Hi Julie,

 

Windows Defender turns off on Win 8 & 10 when another AV is installed so that's a moot point.

Do you have the latest WSA installed? v9.0.8.80 from Monday? https://community.webroot.com/t5/Announcements-and-Release-Notes/PC-Agent-Release-Notes-for-Version-9-0-8-80-Released-April-18th/m-p/250129 if not download and install over top then reboot your system and let us know if that solves your issue!
