Have been told in past that Webroot does not work with Edge browser.  Does it work with Edge now?
Hi terrylharris

Welcome to the Community Forums.

To be strictly accurate the Webroot Filtering & Password Manager extensions do not work with Edge as Microsoft has not yet provide extension/add on handling functionality in Edge...but I am sure that as soon as they do then Webroot will plug the gap.

In terms of protection of Edge by the Webroot Identity Shield; yes, one can add the Edge components to protection...let me know if you need the instructions on how to do this.

In terms of your 'adware virus' I suspect that you are just suffering from popups which you can first try to blcok using the in built pop up blocker (as you cannot add 3rd party addons to do this...for the reasons detailed above).

If you do not know how to do this then follow these instructions:

1. Click on the '...' symbol in the top right hand corner.

2. Select 'Settings' from the list displayed.

3. Scroll down the displayed flyout and click on the 'View advanced settings' button at the bottom.

4. Move the slider for 'Block pop ups' to the 'On' position.

5. Click on the '...' symbol in the top right hand corner to close the flyout.

Now see if that has helped reduce the popups? If not then please post back and we can look to help further.

Regards, Baldrick
