I received a free 6 month subscription to Webroot Secure Anywhere. I downloaded it and loaded in the extensions. But I cannot click on it to run it. Am I safe in assuming that it is just running in the background and will pop up if it detects anything? I thought it would have created a desktop shortcut but it didn't. Thanks, KathyW

Welcome to the Community!
Can you please do a clean reinstall of WSA and Please follow the steps closely!
- Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
- KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
- Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
- Uninstall WSA and Reboot
- Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
- Let it finish it's install scan
- Reboot once again
Thanks,
To add to what Sherry said, as this is a free 6 month copy, I am pretty sure it will be the Best Buy version. If so, make sure to use that download.
For something like this, I don't think it is safe to assume you will be protected, the risks are just too high and it is just so easy to re-install anyway :)
There is no big difference on how to install the Best Buy version than the standard, other than just using the right download, so let us know how you do!

Welcome to the Webroot Community.
To add to what Sherry has posted, by default Webroot does not add a shortcut to your desktop.
In order to get a short cut to your desktop: Open GUI by double clicking the icon in the taskbar.
Advanced setting > tic "Show a shortcut on desktop" > Save.

It could be the free 6 months Bronco's offer that's out again just in case it's not BBY!@ wrote:

Thanks Daniel! I didn't know that the Bronco's offer was active again 🙂
