So about a month a ago, my subscription expired.
I went to my control panel and uninstalled it and I thought everything was fine.
The next day however, I got a notification saying that I need to uninstall Webroot.
What the heck?! I had Internet Security Plus btw.
Now, I just bought Webroot Antivirus. When I tried to install it, it popped up the old menu saying expired.
By this time I was really tired and just added the code I got to that old menu.
And then this crappery happened.iS?
Why IS IT EXPIRED WHEN I JUST TYPED THE CODE IN?!
Could someone please help me just uninstall the **bleep** thing, I think it's stuck somewhere deep in my computer.
And if I uninstall, could I use the code again. Because that would be a waste of $50. Could I like get a refund for that?

Hi locha231
Welcome to the Community Forums.
You should be able to uninstall WSA from the usual Control Panel applet; just find the WSA entry and click uninstall, then follow the onscreen instruction.
If you cannot find the WSA entry or you have difficulty in uninstalling via the above method then please take a look at this KB Article that should help with alternative methods for uninstalling.
If you do use the command line option then please make sure that when you open the command prompt you make sure that you do so with elevated rights, i.e., Run as Administrator.
Give the above a try and post back if you are still having issues.

Hi locha231
No worries...completely understand the frustration.
Firstly, if you uninstall and then reinstall, as suggested, you can most certainly reuse the keycode...in infact you can uninstall/reinstall as many times as you like given that you have a time-based subscription.
Secondly, are you sure that you have correctly entered the keycode when requored to do so? We find that the best approach is, if possiblr, to copy & paste it in rather than typing it in.
Thirdly, I am assuming that the issue with the keycode is as a result of a renewal, otherwise WSA would not need uninstalling? If so then when you renewed did your purchase a new license/keycode or is the keycode you are having trouble with your original keycode? And also where did you purchase your renewal or new subscription/keycode from?
I still believe that the best next step is an uninstall/reinstall dependant on your answer to the third point.
I await your responses.

I'm on windows 10 and I can't find
- Open the main interface.
- Click Settings, then choose Basic Configuration.
- Un-check the boxes next to Show Webroot in the Start Menu and Show Webroot in Add/Remove Programs.
- Click Save All.
Personally I would not use Option 1 and would go straight to Option 2.
Try that making sure that you right clcik on the Windows icon in the bottom left hand side of the Desktop/taskbar & slect 'Command prompt (Admin)', copy/paste the commandline instruction from the article into the command prompt after the '>' & then press 'Enter', and follow the onscreen instructions.
Once uninstalled reboot your system before carrying out the reinstall as follows:

Once uninstalled reboot your system before carrying out the reinstall as follows:
- Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
- KEEP the computer online during the install to make sure it works correctly
- Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE).
- Install with the new installer, entering your Keycode when prompted to do so in the install process
- Let it finish it's install scan
- Reboot
