- Under Activate a new keycode, enter the keycode you want to add and click Activate.
Note: your keycode is a string of 20 alphanumeric characters. It is unique and holds the information about your subscription. You may choose to copy and paste your keycode when prompted, to ensure that the characters are entered correctly.
If you would like to also add your keycode to your online management account, click here for instructions.
Also if you have Password Manager then you will need to Submit a Support Ticket to have your passwords transfered to the new keycode.

Hi ferollew
Welcome to the Community Forums.
If I may just ask...you say you renewed and received a renewal code which you tried to enter? Well, if you renewed your renewal time for the new subscription period would be automatically added to your existing subscription and so you would not receive a new keycode. So it sounds like you have effectively purchased a new subscription, i.e., a 'pseudo' renewal rather than a 'real' renewal as I have described previously.
If that is the case and you have indeed entered a new keycode then please be advised that doing this does not 'cancel' the previous keycode and as such the subscription is effectively still active and will continue to be during the 30 day grace period that Webroot offer their users after the official expiry date of the subscription; to allow them the time to renew, etc. As such, and if what I have stated above is indeed what has transpired then you will most likely receive 'expired' message from your previous subscription until the 30 day period is over.
I hope that this is of assistance but if something else transpired then please let us know.
Regards, Baldrick
