You choose to un-lock the previous thread in order to provide an answer, and lock it behind you , so there is no other choice than to create another thread.

Your answer specifies "Webroot chooses to not participate in mainstream AV testing ...." while the answer provided by TripleHelix says " The AV-Comparatives team and Webroot have together decided ...."

So , which is which?

Seems like , in fact is solely Webroot decision not to participate rather than a "Joint decision with AV testing"
What is with this 'fixation' about testing organisations? The information has been provided...and either one takes it at face value or not.

I personally do...but each is entitled to make their own judgement...so can we stop this quizzing...as quizzing is not going to change the answer...LOL

Which information has been provided?

"Webroot chooses to not participate ..."  [freydrew]

OR

" The AV-Comparatives team and Webroot have together decided ...."  [triplehelix]

Well IMO it's: Webroot chooses to not participate. Why for many reasons such as what Drew said here at the bottom of the page: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/Webroot-nowhere-to-be-seen-in-AVComparatives-or-AV-Test/td-p/299543/page/2

Both...you make up your mind as to what it means and how you react to it...really...that is not very difficult to do. LOL
" how you react to it...really...that is not very difficult to do"

You are right , is not difficult at all: choose a proved antivirus which passed constantly 99% detection rate in both AV Test and AV Comparative. Why take an unnecessary risk???
