I don't quite understand how the Task Manager is being Hijacked but to be sure you are malware free please Submit a Support Ticket and they will let you know.

As Daniel pointe dout we need more information...can you open the Task Manager, sort the Memory & then the CPU columns so that the highest using file is displayed at the top (note that you should do this first for Memory and then for CPU) and post past back the details of what you have found and the OS that you are running.
