How can I use Webroot to scan an Email?
Page 1 / 1
We used to have an email scanning product but that no longer exists.
Webroot's approach to malware is to scan processes at the time they are executed, rather than trying to catch them in transit.
Depending on who your email provider is, they might already scan your email for malware.

Hello and Welcome to the Webroot Community!
Also most Attachments come in some sort of Zip file and when you open it to save to disk WSA will scan the file and be detected at that time as well. Just use the rule of thumb delete all emails from people you don't know but WSA will still have your back as Nic said if it's executed it will be detected.
Thanks,
Daniel 😉

From my past experience with antivirus software that scans emails as they arrive slows down the email client when receiving. So....Webroots approach is the best as stated by nic and good sound advice by Triple Helix. The malware has to be executed in order to due damage to your pc. and that is where Webroot will neutralize the malware.
