When MSN installed updates on my computer, it messed up my C drive or something and I cannot find my key code to install Webroot on a new computer.  The message I get is "bad system config info".  I haven't been able to reach MSN to see what they can do (like that never happens) so am at a loss.  I needed my computer anyway so purchased a new one and want to put my Webroot subscription on it.

How can I do that without having the keycode?
Hello Neely, Welcome to the Webrrot Community Forum. :D

To get your Keycode sent to you follow this link:

https://www.webroot.com/us/en/redownloads

The email should give you instructions on how to install Webroot, if not here it is:

Please follow the steps below closely in terms of installing WSA on the target system/machine!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online during the install to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE). Let us know if it is the Mac version you need.
  • Install with the new installer, entering your Keycode when prompted to do so in the install process
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot

HTH,

Dave. :D

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the information.  Unfortunately I did not have my keycode (or could not find it!) so ending up calling Geek Squad.  I had recently purchased a new pc and got Geek Squad protection.  They were able to get it installed.

Thanks!

Neely
Glad you got it sorted Neely. Thank you for posting. :D
