How to temporarily disable Webroot

I want to download some additional software and device drivers. When I tried to do so this morning, the file was not completely downloaded according to a dialogue box. When this has happened in the past, it was a sign that an anit-virus program was blocking the download. I've looked in all the obvious places, including right clicking on my Webroot tray icon but have not found the place to disable it or reenable it when I'm finished downloading.

Surely, I am not the first user to have this need/question.

Thanks in advance.

Hi bigdantheman333

Welcome to the Community Forums.

You just right click on the WSA notificaiton tray icon (Green circle with a 'W' in it) & select the 'Shutdown protection' option from the context menu displayed...enter the CAPTCHA characters requested...and that should do it once.

Just don't forget to either reboot or click on the WSA Desktop icon to restart protection.
