I have been unable to uninstall Norton Internet Security since I installed Webroot. I tried uninstalling Webroot and then uninstalling Norton Internet Security but it does nothing.I reinstalled Webroot and still have been unable to uninstall Norton Internet Security from my computer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello gary, welcome to the Webroot Community!
To uninstall the Norton, you can try using their own removal tool. This is usually recomended anyway as the software can be very difficult to remove. You can find it HERE.
You can also submit a Trouble Ticket and ask Webroot Support for assistance with this.

Hi Gary
Welcome to the Community Forums.
I would just add, to David's excellent advice, that you make sure that after every major intevention you reboot your system even if you are not being asked to do so. With the amount of baggage that comes with NIS, and which is therefore removed when the unistall tool runs, a reboot helps to 'stabilise' the system after such a big change.
This is what I used to do when running NIS, then KIS, when I uninistalled/reinstalled, etc. Even do it with WSA and that is a so, so much lighter app when it comes to system impact.

Also to add the Norton Removal tool is not available most times so install Revo Uninstaller and if your OS is 64bit make sure to download the Pro version and you can use it for 30 days the free version only works on 32bit systems. http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html then after you can uninstall Revo Uninstaller it's a great removal program as I have the paid Pro version.
Thanks,
Daniel 😉
