I keep getting a message that new version of Webroot is available, download now. What is this?
Is this a new program that has a upgrades charge I have to pay?

Welcome to the Community Forums.
No, it is just the way that Webroot & WSA works...one purchases access on a subscription basis and as long as you have an active subscription then one is entitled to the latest updates to WSA that are 'pushed' out by the Webroot Development Team.
What I find a little surprising is that you have received such a message; did you click the 'Check for updates' option? Normally the updates to the client occur silently and seamlessly.
I would recommend that you accept the update, assuming that you are satisfied that it really is from Webroot...and make sure that you are on the latest and greatest version of WSA.
If you have any doubts make a not of the exact wording of the message and post back here so we can check it.
