I'm not tech savy. What do you recommend for backing up my Dell PC personal data? thanks!

Hello sconner, and Welcome to the Webroot Community.
I'd recommend an External HDD, see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_disk_drive (near bottom of page).
You can also use online storage, it's a matter of which you'd prefer. WSA-Complete version offers 25GB of storage: http://www.webroot.com/us/en/home/products/complete
Hope this helps.

I agree with Dermot...
I like to have some things on Online storage as I can access the material anywhere.... but one has to be careful about which online service one uses.
Google drive, Dropbox, Apple, they have all had breaches. Want to make a guess as to one online data backup that is entrypted, and has never been breached? WSA's :)
In terms of an external device, the amount of data that I need backed up is pretty small. I just use a USB stick. 4 GB size is usually all that I need for that.
