I recently sent a message to a company with an attachment that was sent to me. They advise they could not open it, but that my entire inbox was sent to some link in the cloud. Is this a known tactic by identity thieves? What should I do?

Hello ed_weisbrot,

Welcome to the Community Forum,

Yes this is possibel and If you are a victum of Idenity Theft then I would contact my ISP and e-mail provider for help.

Have you ran a scan of Webroot?

For now you should change your password to use strong, complex, and hard-to-guess passwords.

They should be at least 8 characters long and should be a combination of letters numbers or special characters. Additionally, passwords should be changed on a monthly basis.

Sorry I can't help more...

Best Regards
How do you know your entire in-box went to the cloud? DO NOT do anything that they may want you to do! Scan with Webroot and any oher Malware product that you may have. If all is clear I wouldn't worry to much. You can always open a Support  ticket and have a health check!
