I renewed my subscription 4/9/15. The product has been downloaded to "My Documents" a double click on this site only brings me to the existing web root product with and expiration date of 40 some days.  The key code on the existing site and the on the download instructions dates 4/9/15 are the same.( edited for security)My operating system is Windows XP .  Has the product been updated? If not what do I do? Did I have to uninstall the original webroot?  I am puzzled.
Did you renew your subscription on the same product key?  It may take webroot site a little but to internally process your new subscription (renewed one) as I found out and usually Webroot product updates itself automatically!   Does this help?

Hi MCCOLECHARLES

Welcome to the Community Forums.

As nerf8cnt48569 said if you have properly renewed, i.e., you have added time to your existing subscription then there will be no need to download/install anything at all, and, it can take time for this to all go through the Webroot back office, but don't worry...you are covered whilst this is happening.

A couple of further points:

(i) if you purchase was through Best Buy/The Geek Squad then firstly the payment for the renewal will not be taken until your current subscription has expired and therefore the new subscription will not be applied until then, and it will do so automatically.  And

(ii) if your purchase was NOT via Best Buy/The Geek then the additional time for the renewal will also come through automatically and you should see the number of days before expiry increment by the amount of the new subscription period, i.e., 40 + 365 = 405 days subscription.

If you have renewed by purchaisng a new subscription, i.e., you have been issued/have received a new keycode then that subscription will not become active until you have entered the new keycode in WSA and activated it...but please note that if you do that before the end of the current subscription period then the current (soon to become previous) keycode/subscription period will continue to run down and will run in parallel to the one for which you enter/activate the new keycode for.

So in effect you ill have two subscriptions running at the same time but only be benfiting from one...so in this case only enter the new keycode once the current keycode has expired.

Hope that something in this rambling reply is of assistance?  Do come back an let us know if yo have any further questions or require further clarification.

Regards, Baldrick
