Hi All

New to forum, please bear with me.

Using Identity Shield v8.0.3.3 wth Win 7 fully updated along with Chrome 41.

I also use IE11 and firefox. The latter function OK wth WR Identity Shield. But with Chrome when I load it it hangs with a white page and a flashing curser.

If I shut Identity Shield down, the Chrome works as normal.

Have you come accross this before and can you give me any pointers on resolution.

Thanks

Terry

Hi TerryWood

Welcome to the Community Forums.

May I just clarify one point here, which may be salient?  You say "Using Identity Shield v8.0.3.3"?  DO you mean Webroot SecureAnyWhere Antivirus version 8.0.3.3?

If so then you are using an extremely old version of tWSA and my first recommendation would be that you download a new version of the installer, perform an uninstall/clean reinstall of WSA and see if that resolves the issue for you.

If my assumption is correct and yo would like to do this then please follow the instructions below:

  • Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and DO NOT import any settings, if offered duringt he install process, as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
And then check out Chrome again.

If the issue has disappeared then all well and good, but if not then please come back here so we can check a few more things out for you.

Regards, Baldrick
