I had to Pay $300 to a third party tech support, My Iyogi, the number listed for support on all thing web root related, when I still have 333 days left active on my subscription. I ran the scans and web root found nothing when their were more than 800 regristry errors! If web root can't find the problems what am I paying for?
Hi stormshadow330

Welcome to the Community Forums.

This has come up before and rather than waste time writing what has already been aired on the subject please read through this previous thread for an interesting expose of views on the subject including some from a representative from Iyogi.  My personal opinion is that they use hard sales techniques bordering on the dishonest (I stress that this is MY view and not Webroot's own view on the subject).

Suffice to say at this point, and in summary, that they have a dubious reputation.  And your best first step is to contact Webroot Support if you have any doubts or concerns like this. Webroot will never charge you for advanced malware removal or technical assistance.

Please post back if you have any further questions in the subject.

Regards, Baldrick

Hello stormshadow330,

Welcome to the Community Forum!

You are paying for an Anti Virus and it does catch harmful Malware. Webroot is not a registry cleaner. We do have an Optimizer

Our Support Team is free and we do give advise here for removing PUAs,

That's a shame that you paid so much for Tech Support!

Also here is a Help Guide. you can refer to as well Please have a look here for more information of Webroots products and what they cover.

We are Volunteers here and we can help you the best way we know how. Feel free to borwse around and join in.

Best Regards,
iYOGI is at it again.Scamming someone else. The errors they detect are usually errors they themselves create. That iyogi-ART was here earlier today. It's as if he knew this unfortunate Webroot user was going to head here and complain.Webroot support is ALWAYS free of charge.I would ask the mods to ban iyogi-art's account, and i would urge this Webroot user to contact his state attorney general. At the very least,it's theft by deception.Shameful:manmad:
Agreed - ask for a refund from iYogi.  If they don't provide it, then do a charge-back with your bank.
Good thought, Nic.  Nice one...I like your style...;)
