Hello and thanks in advance for your help.

I purchased Webroot AntiVirus 2015 and Internet Security Plus 2015.  I installed the anti-virus program and activated it.  When I go to install the Internet Security Plus by double clicking on the installation executable, it opens the already installed Webroot AntiVirus program.  How do I install the Webroot internet security plus program? Are they truly separate programs or somehow modules of each other that I don't understand.  Thanks!
Hello pleasehelpme, Welcome to the Webroot Community Forum. :D

Webroot AntiVirus 2015 and Internet Security Plus 2015 are two different products. Each has it's own keycode. You cannot run both on the same computer. Webroot has the same download Link for their products. The keycode is the thing that tells you what product will be installed.

You can enter the Security Plus Keycode to upgrade by Webroot GUI > Cog Wheel on "My Account" enter keycode:

Thanks for your informative reply, ProTruckDriver!  Wish that I had know how these programs nest.  The NewEgg website certainly did not convey that information.  I saw them as separate programs from the same manufacturer.  I will try your suggestion.  Again, I truly appreciate your welcome as well as reply.  It takes a lot to keep me straight!  :S

Have a great weekend, everyone!
Another question, if I may.  What do you think about running AVG free anti-virus along with Webroot AV/Internet Security Plus?  As I learn about the Webroot products, I had AVG 2014/2015 Free doing scheduled scans with Webroot Anywhere Security Complete doing on-demand (user initated) scans.  I did not realize that Webroot also had AV and thought it was malware and other security/phising, etc monitoring.  Thanks for your time and appreciate any feedback.  Cheers!

In your case it would be AVG

Hi pleasehelpme

If I may...but what is with the need to run more than one main security app?  Honestly, there is no real need and if you install another, especially like AVG (which has had a reputation for being very invasive of the systems it is installed on and so difficult to unistall), then as and when you decide that WSA is the one for you then you will need to uninstall...and as I mentioned earlier...good luck.

Also, WSA is unlike any onf the other mainstream security apps currently around as it has been designed from the ground up to use the Cloud, whichmakes it light...very light but still very effective.  Please see this diagram below that explains a little as to how it works...if you are interested, of course...;):

But to answer your specific question; 'Yes', WSA & AVG should run together fine...but as I said before what is the need...you really need to step back, work out what you need from you security app and then move forward...and if it is not with WSA as it does not fit your need...then so be it.

I hope that helps a little?

The choice is yours. Webroot SecureAnywhere can either replace or work alongside your

existing antivirus software.

Webroot SecureAnywhere is fully compatible with other mainstream antivirus products and

will work alongside any existing antivirus software to detect and remove any threats it

misses, and to protect your financial and personal information.
Hello and Welcome to the Webroot Community!

I will say it AVG is not good IMO and WSA is more than you will ever need please see this small video to learn more: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-Education/What-Happens-if-Webroot-quot-Misses-quot-a-Virus/ta-p/10202

Thanks,

Good morning and thanks for all who recently replied to my latest question.  I am getting a great education on Webroot and need to decide if I want to stay with the past approach or evolve and give Webroot full control.  I have 3 kids who are less diligent with websites and links.  One of them has gotten FBI twice, but was able to defeat and get the laptop back up while cursing the local college network where he got infected.  Good and fast information from a great group of very knowledgeable folks.  Thanks to you all.

P.S. Thanks for the laugh, Baldrick.  I love Black Adder!  Luckily, the whole series is on NetFlix.

I have a wife that is a "Happy Clicker" and I have never been infected running Webroot over many years. :D

(Don't tell her I said that) :S
OK, Dave...but how much is it worth to you that we keep your little 'secret'? :D
