I use the WS_FTP program from Ipswitch for posting and maintenance of web sites. Recently, two sites needed revision, but the passwords for the sites was lost. There is a program offered by SecurityXploded called WS_FTP Password Decryptor, that is in a zip file. It allows the decrypting of all site passwords of sites, provided one has the original WS_FTP ini file.

 

After downloading the program I tried unpacking it, but my anti-malware/anti-virus pr ogram (Webroot SecureAnywhere) sclaims that the file is potential dangerous, and gives the following name of the problem: "W32.Malware.MI.vt" (The "I" next to the M, may be an I or i. My vision is bad, and I can't tell the difference on the monitor.

 

In any event, does anybody know what that alert means specifically? I used manual scanning of the file, and the result was its removal from the medium it was stored on.

 

Any help would be  greatly appreciated!
