I get the missing file message when starting the computer.   I looked at several programs that will supposedly fix this but Webroot has cautioned me not to go to the websites   Is there a safe way to fix this?   I am getting ready to upgrade to Windows 10.  Do I need to fix this before I upgrade?
Hello Butchville

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

I would Submit a Support Ticket and ask them about this error. It could be reminants of a threat that was remoived?

? can you add to this?
Hi Butchville

Welcome to the Community Forums.

If I may add to what Sherry has posted...if you are minded to do so and have the technical comptence then you could make use of Microsoft's Sysinternals Autorun (HERE) to find and remove the relevant entry that is being executed at startup and is looking for the missing .dll.

I should point out that this approach is fraught with the potential for doing damage to your system if you remove something that you should not and that the Support Ticket option would be the safer option.

Hope that this helps?

Hi again Butchville,

I would run SFC to check Windows Files before upgrading to W 10. That's just my opinion though.
