I downloaded a bogus app (my bad). The source has a "fix" for it, which I do not trust.  I'm getting flooded with porn-type emails, etc. and pc is running slower. What can I do to remove myself?
Hello mfiore,

Welcome to the Community Forum,

Ok first run disk clean up. Go to start, all programs, accessories, system tools, disk cleanup clean temporary files, temporary internet files, and publisher files.

Depending what browser you are using clear you cache (history, cookies) Within your email look for those emails that you can unsubscribe to and change your password to your email account.

Have you ran a scan with Webroot? Do so.

You may have some PUAs (Potentially Unwanted Application)i It's is a program that may be unwanted, but was installed with user consent.

If all else fails then please issue a Support Ticket free of charge with an active subscription.

Best Regards

Hi mfiore

Welcome to the Community Forums.

To be honest I would just open that support ticket suggested ASAP, as to my mind you have a PUA or PUAs on your system given what it is you are describing, and I suspect that you need prefessional help to get rid of the offending items.

Regards, Baldrick
