For the past several mornings, I've awoken to numerous "Mail Undeliverabe" e-mails for messages thatI never sent Can anyone tell me what's going on here and how can I fix the problem?
Hi dunglass and welcome to the Webroot community,

It does not necessarily mean that your email has been hacked.

  • This could be caused from several sources:
  • Spammers sending from spoofed addresses.
  • Spammers using your address in the from: address and sending to many addresses of which some are no good and bounce back to you.
  • Messages sent from Worms.
  • Messages from hackers designed to get you to open them and become infected.
Your best bet is to just delete them if you are reasonably sure you did not send them.

WSA does not protect email in flight.  Have a look at this previous post from @ .  He does an excellent job of explaining how WSA works with email and provides a very informative video.

Hello @ and Welcome to the Webroot Community!

@ is correct but may I ask you do you use online email such as Gmail or Outlook.com or and Email Client like Outlook or Thunderbird? What I would suggest that you change the password with a Stronger Password ASAP and I await your reply!

Thanks,

Daniel 😉
