Hello,
Can any one advise on the best antivirus. I see this symbol of webroot on my control panel and i am abnle to scan my PC. But i am not sure if this has the capacity to detect the virus and remove it. If yes, how frequently do we update it?

If you do indeed have Webroot installed, and you can run a scan then you have the very BEST program to detect and remove all malware/virus/trojan etc. It updates automatically 24/7 in the cloud so no worries.
What is your OS?

Hi mayur
Welcome to the Community Forums.
If I may add to what Lyle has posted? Do you have a subscription for WSA or is it a trial installation? The reason I ask is that as loong as you have an active subscription then WSA will detect & removed malware but if it is a trial version then that will only be the caase for the duration of the trial, after which WSA will only detect but not remove malware.
Hope that further clarifies?

You are welcome mayur, Is your machine fairly new and if so, where did you purchase it? What is your OS? Do you have the Webroot icon/symbol on your task bar? If you do, right click it then click on view status. Then click on the little green arrow of "MyAccount".

And Lyle makes a good point about it coming with a new machine because in those cases the license is in the main just 6 months rather than the usual minimum purchasable subscription which is 1 year.
Check to see what the number of days is showing as next the 'Subscription' literal in the middle of the main app panel.
