Welcome to the Community,
EDIT Please follow TripleHelix infomation below!!
Thanks,
Just install the new keycode and it will do a scan! I need to make sure you have the WSA-AV only version and not the other 2? http://www.webroot.com/us/en/home/products/compare
Here is how to install a new Keycode: http://www.webroot.com/En_US/SecureAnywhere/PC/WSA_PC_Help.htm#C12_MyAccount/CH11b_ActivatingKeycode.htm
Thanks,
Daniel 😉

Hi Daniel,
If we obtain a new keycode from Ally or other institution and activate it prior to the expiration of the former one year key code, will the local app retain the settings presently on that pc even if one does not have a web account established?
To be clear, I am referring only to the Webroot AV app and am not concerned with password management, backups etc.
Thanks in advance.

Hi blues
Yes, it should...but just to be safe you could go into Advanced Settings, click on the Import/Export tab and then click on the Export button. That will save your settings as a .dat file in a location of your choice. If you then apply the new code and find that the client settings have changed you can then go to the same tab that you exported from, click on the Import button, locate the .dat file you saved earlier and import those settings back into WSA.
You should not need to do that...but it is a good idea, as always, to have a back up.

Thanks, Baldrick. Good idea. I'm so used to just backing up the hard drive that I forgot that I used to back up my WSA settings as well.
