My subscription to “Security Anywhere” that I made when I bought my computer is about to expire. I just bought the “Antivirus” version on CD. To install it, on my computer should I first un-install the previous version? Thank you for your help.

Hi FBenna
Welcome to the Community Forums.
I am not quite sure that I understand exactly what you currently have as WSA or Webroot SecureAnywhere is the product name for the application that comes in THREE flavours, of which you have now purchased the Antivirus version. But to answer your question fully we need to know which version you currently have, i.e., the Internet Security Plus or Complete version (I am assuming that you do not already have the Antivirus version).
Please advise back on this and we can take it from there.
Regards, Baldrick

Hey dude,
Did you get a product key with your purchase of a CD? It should be on the packaging. Most likely, you don't need to uninstall and reinstall, you should be able to just enter the key under My Account (click the Gear Icon) - Activate a new keycode
I believe the only time you'd need to uninstall/reinstall is with WSA Gamer vs other versions.

HI FBenna
Please DO NOT just enter the new product key without first advising as to what version you are currently running as there are consequences to chaning version that need to be understood and thought through, and if you would reply to the questions we would then know if there is a need to be cautious or if you are able to just enter the new keycode as previously suggested.
Many thanks in anticipation of your response.
