I've created a strong-rated password and on two occassions entered the correct characters requested by the confirmation console. Both times it failed. However, the Webroot website shows me as logged in by my product keycode. What in the world is going on?

Hello jmcdommell57, welcome to the Webroot Community!
I do have a few questions. By the char
I am not sure I understand what you mean by the website shows you as logged in by your key code? Do you mean the Console? I am not aware that the Console shows online/offline/logged in status of you as a user. The only thing it shows by key code is what computers/devices have WSA installed and activated with that particular key code, and what key code is tied to a specific User (For Password and Backup&Sync permissions only, not current online status.
If you are having problems with the two random character of your Security Code/Word, you might want to use the link "Can't Log In" and reset the Security Code to something different, just in case there was an error in saving it correctly at Webroot's side. I do not think I have seen a Security Code become corrupt at Webroot's side, but it is of course saved in some form of database and I HAVE seen more database bug/glitches over the years to make me wonder if they ever work correctly at all LOL!
Try resetting that code first, and we will go from there :)
