my webroot shows active and protected but I did not get a charge for renewal.... can webroot be active even though the subscription has expired?

If I'm not mistaken, you have 30 days after expiration to renew and you will still be protected.
You said you did not get charged. Did you renew your Webroot subscription very recently or do you know if you signed up for auto renewal? If this is the case then perhaps the charge just hasn't gone through yet?

That is quite correct, BD, Webroot provide a 30 day grace period from the actual date of expiry during which full protection remains active. :D
So that one has the chance to get the renewal in...;)
