Norton (September renewal) and Webroot (December install Geek Squad) both installed on Window 8 PC.
Norton alert "PC not automatically protected" and cannot fix.
Is this important? Is there a fix or over-ride? Or, should I contact a Geek Squad tech?
Or do I remove one or the other completely? Which works best (reguardless of the cost)?
Thanks.

Hi SueMW
Welcome to the Community Forums.
That Norton is not protecting your PC is important, except for the fact that you also have WSA installed and if not is not protecting it then WSA will be.
From a Norton perspective I would say it is important. Whether there is a fix for this; I could not say...and should you contact the Geek Squad about; yes, if you bought the product form them or the machine with the product installed and it is still under warranty.
You can remove one or the other but given that Norton is apparently not working at the moment you would be unwise to remove WSA....for obvious reasons.
As to which works best (regardless of cost)...well, one mighyt expect me to say WSA...and I will say...WSA, as I honestly believe it to be a better product on many levels...but to be fair Norton is right up there as well and as such it would be disingenous not to say so. Both will protect you very well (when working properly) so I suppose you will need to chose which one to keep based on other criteria...such as look, feel, price, impact on system, usability, etc.
Hope that helps?
