Greetings,  I am trying to install Norton Family on my PC but Webroot is blocking it, catgorizing it as Pua.Gen.  The download file is NF_Installer.exe.1xd5x5c.partial or NF_Installer.exe.  Is there a way that I can configure WebRoot to allow this file to be installed on my PC?

Thank you,

Jeff
Hello jefflcsw,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Did you pay for Norton Family? Are you installing this from online?

If Webroot is detecting this to be malicious then I would Submit a Support Ticket and they can check this out for you free of charge with an active subscription.

Hope this helps?
Why would one want to run Norton which is far inferior to Secure Anywhere...

You could off course report the issue via a ticket. Doing so might cause a few chuckles in the offices. Norton being reported as a piece of malware :D

Seriously do as Ssherjj said & create a ticket for it if you really want to run them together... I hope it's not the version with a builtin firewall cause running a firewall too many could not be the best thing to do on a pc.

This is why:

Norton Family Premier offers an impressive range of parental control and monitoring features for parents of today's

hyper-connected kids.

I would recommend K9 Web Protection and it's free! http://www1.k9webprotection.com/ with WSA and the kids would be safe online and again it's free.

You got a point there. Call me too old fashioned. My kids just don't get to use a pc when neither I or my wife's there with them. Nobody can beat those Parental Control settings.
