I rebooted my computer and now have a taskbar message from Webroot saying 'scan required', but nothing opens or pops up when I click the taskbar message.
Also, I can't access Webroot via desktop icon or control panel.
I do not have the keycode saved because it was always visible when I did scans (so I didn;t write it down). What should I do?

Hello drts
Welcome to the Webroot Community
May ask if your Webroot subscription is through Best Buy/Geek Squad? Or with Webroot online?
If with Webroot then you will want to request your keycode or installation instructions to be emailed to you, click here to fill out the request form.
Or contact Best Buy at 1-800-433-5778 to request your keycode. Be sure to mention your subscription software through Best Buy.
Once you have the keycode then please do a reinstall of Webroot as shown below:
Please follow the steps closely!
Thanks,

Please follow the steps closely!
- Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
- KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
- Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE) Let us know if it is the Mac version you need.
- Uninstall WSA and Reboot
- Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
- Let it finish it's install scan
- Reboot once again
Thanks,
Thank you, Sherry.
First of all, I need to say that I've never done anything like this without assistance from my tech-savvy kids (who are unavailable today), so I want to get it right.
noticed that there were a few mentions of 'uninstalling' and 'rebooting' in your reply, yet, the e-mail I received just referred to 'installing'. If it was deleted or uninstalled through the rebooting, do I really need to do the whole uninstall-reboot process?
I appreciate your help.

Hi drts,
Yes if you can follow those instructions that I gave you. It sounds like you still have Webroot installed. Please follow the process and give us a holler if you need any help. Just remember to have your keycode ready and do not import any settings if asked.
We will be here if you need anything.
