A year ago, purchased WebRoot for 3 PCs from Geek Squad. Received a better price from Amazon, so purchsaed there and just downloaded. Have the keys, but cannot install as Geek Squad blocks. Can someone assist? < email snipped for privacy protection > B

Hi ARoecks
Welcome to the Community Forums.
Whilst they have the same name the Best Buy/Geek Squad syupported product is different to the Webroot one (nothing major) so I would recommend that you uninstall the current version, REBOOT, and then clean install the one you purchased from Amazon (which I am assuming is the Webroot direct version rather than the Best Buy/Geek Squad version).
As you are running the AV version (I am assuming that due to you posting in this forum) there will be no issues in relation to data keyed by keycode (I am assuming that you do not have the Password Manager in your current version) but if there is AND you are going to the Webroot AV version (which does not have the Password Manager feature) then your passwords will be lost.
However, if your new version is either Internet Security Plus or Complete (which do have the Password Manager feature) then once you have installed the Webroot version you will need to Open a Support Ticket, providing your current keycode, new keycode, emails address, explaining what you have done (you can include a link to this thread if you like so you do not have to retype the details above or my proposed solution) and ask them to transfer the keycoded data (from Password Manager) from one keycode to another.
Hope that I have not confused you but if I have then please post back and I or one of the other members will look to clarify things for you.
Regards, Baldrick

Thanks for the reply.
Following your instructions, when I went to de-install I noted that WebRoot install date was Sept 28, 2014, when I downloaded from Amazon. It appears that the Geek Squad Webroot may be blocking installation, but now I am not sure. I have Windows 7,
I have Webroot key codes from the Geek Squad (old) and Amazon (new).
Also, I do have password manager, but the e-mail address has changed -- the one listed is no longer valid. I tried creating a new account but things seemed to get hung.
Please advise. I can also be reached at [phone number removed],

Welcome to the Community Forum,
Please remove your phone number for security reasons. (select edit to the upper right corner drop down box )
You can go here for information in changing email address and keycodes.
With Password Manager then you need to contact support as Baldrick has mentioned in previous post. So that everything gets changed over.
Thankyou
