I noticed that on one of the machines that I have protected by Webroot AV the version number is 8.0.8.47, but the current release is on 8.0.7.33. Any idea why I was switched to this version, but still on my non-beta key? I am testing the beta, but def not on the machine in question.

Hi Bane
As far as I know v8.0.8.47 is the beta channel whilst v8.0.7.33 is the release channel version. So unless I am very mistaken one of the machines has somehow managed to get the beta installed on it.
Which installer have you used for each machine; the same one, and are you using the same keycode on both systems?

I believe that I used the correct installer. I will just uninstall the beta, and re-install the release version and see if that takes care of it.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
Hi Bane
You are welcome. Just for reference the release channel installer is called "wsainstall.exe" and the beta channel one is named "wrcloudbyinvite.exe".
As a side point; I don't know if you are aware but the beta usually needs the provision of a beta key that is diferrentiated from normal key by have the word "-BETA-" as the 2nd of the 5 usual groups for 4 characters that make up a key code.
Are you sure that you do not have or have used a keycode with that configuration?

I think that perhaps what happened is that I had the beta installer sitting on my desktop and myself or someone else mistakenly clicked on it. The key was not a beta key, but the version was the beta version, if that makes any sense? All is well now as the release version is installed again.
Thanks again!
