I just read an article in the paper about Ransomware; it captures all of your files, then the next time you boot up your computer, the screen states your files are being held "ransom" and you have to pay to get them back.  Does WebRoot protect against this?
Hello @.

Welcome to the Community Forum,

WSA does provide excellent protection against the Crypto malware, Ransomeware, but keep in mind that new variants are constantly being released in an attempt to stay ahead of software like WSA.

In some situations where it has gotten past, Webroot Support has been able to help by way of the rollback, etc.

Please look here at what happens if Webroot misses a virus, https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/What-Happens-if-Webroot-quot-Misses-quot-a-Virus/ta-p/33374

Also please look at this video about Webroot and Ransomeware https://www.brighttalk.com/webcast/8241/127363

Webroot does provide free Support if needed with an active  Webroot subscription.

Hope this was helpful,

Kind Regards,
