Hi,
I couldn't help but noticed the general enthusiasm on this forum regarding some recent webroot reviews:
http://geekyproductreviews.com/webroot-secureanywhere-complete-antivirus-review/
http://www.avwars.com/
I am surprised though that nobody inquired about the methodology used for these reviews, number and samples used, etc.
When Webroot failed miserably AV Comparatives test everybody claimed that the test was not accurate, in real life is different, etc.
Now, when two obscure entities published their review (along with a link "Buy now") the enthusiasm is general. everybody is congratulating everybody and together Webroot; not a word about the methodology used, number of samples, type of sample, etc.

I couldn't have said it better!:D

That's not my point; any review -p ositive or negative - should be treated with professionalism , especially by those involved in Webroot development.
To blindly embrace a positive review published by two virtually unknown entities, to congratulate each other, to offer kudos for congratulating each other, is beyond embarrassment.
That will only make any future WSA reviews less credible....
Hi!
Like Topor, I'm sure you've done your research in to how Webroot works and can see the value of having one of the best security products on your system, which works unlike any other solution out there!
The fact that you've decided to join our great community and express your concern for the products' future reviews means you must love it as much as we do! So welcome aboard! Stay a while and share your wisdom about Webroot's ease of use and protection matched by none.

These are not testing agencies. They are review sites. They are not performing efficacy or performance testing but rather just comparing features. So there is no testing methodology here to examine and contest because this isn't AV testing.

I would agree that those reviews don't amount to much. It was this review that convinced me to give WSA a try:

Hi AnorexicHippo,
Not to kill your enthusiasm , but you should also read: "Webroot Accused, Exonerated" on top of that review:

Hi devilsadvocate:
Welcome to the forum we appreciate your insight on Webroot. What I may suggest is give Webroot a try and run your own tests. I have and I am no expert by far............however I found it to be rock solid!!!! Try it you'll like it I am sure.

The articles referred to are 18 months old and as nothing newer than this is available, I would say that they are not accurate at this point in time. There are countless trusted publications, yet no others have posted anything like this since.
I have been in the computing industry professionally since 1999. I am not an employee of Webroot, nor have I ever been. I am here as a satisfied user, and as a professional that can recommend Webroot along with other trusted solutions.

I purchased my first computer in 1999. I have tried more antivirus software than I can remember. My point is Webroot antivirus in my humble opinion the best there is. And cloud is the future for antivirus software which Webroot had performed at its best and second to none

Your first link went nowhere, the second one was interesting but it didn't kill my enthusiasm for WSA, it is a fine product and I still intend to purchase it when my trial is over.
