WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO REMOVE ASTROMENDA?
Page 1 / 1
Hello Scottdanitz, welcome to the Webroot Community!
Astromenda is not actally a virus or malware, it is 'adware' according to the vendor, but around here we call it junk. More specifically we call it a PUA (Potentially Unwanted Application)
If you want more information regarding PUA's, and why this one was not detected, please let me know and I will provide you with a good bit of info.
As to how to get rid of it.... well...
For ADVANCED users it might be able to be removed by you manually.
If you are not an Advanced User I am going to strongly suggest you allow Webroot Support to help you remove it by submitting a Trouble Ticket. I have taken a look at this specific PUA, and it does seem to be a bit more complex than many average users would want to tackle on their own,
I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions!
