Hello, I uninstall Spy Sweeper out of my computer. I had used it back in 2009. When I uninstalled it and restarted my computer I coudn't connect to the internet. So I did a system restore and Spy Sweeper and the internet worked. I again uninstalled Spy Sweeper and restart and the internet is not working again.
So I look in event viewer. I notice that the two times I uninstall Spy Sweeper something happen to the DCOM. It says "The server {E10F6C3A-F1AE-4ADC-AA9D-2FE65525666E} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

As you may know, Spy Sweeper is an old Webroot product and is no longer available or supported. In terms of removing it, there are a couple of options:
- If you still have time remaining on your license, you may be able to migrate/upgrade to one oft the current products. Try using the Uninstall Utility. This utility is meant to help in removing the old 'legacy' products like Spy Sweeper to migrate the software to the current product.
- If the uninstall utility doe not correctly remove Spy Sweeper, and so you still have the same problem following removal, submit a Trouble Ticket to have Webroot Support take a look and help remove Spy Sweeper. This is a free service as long as you have a valid license/key code.
Thank you the first option worked. I download and installed WRUpgradeTool and restarted and was able to use the internet.
Glad to hear you got it fixed, with@ wrote:
