I recently instaled webroot on a HP all in one that became very slow all of the sudden. I only got a slight improvement in sprred. What should i do?
Hello paulbenson,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Would you please do a uninstall/clean reinstall of Webroot just to see if Webroot is the issue?

Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
Please let us know if that resolves your issue?

Thanks,

Hi paulbenson

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Personally, before uninstalling WSA, I would go to the Task Manager, and under the Processes tab check to see if any one or couple of processes are consuming your memory and/or CPU. If they are then I would make a note of them and then post back here so we can review them for you.

If one of them is WRSA.exe then that is not normal and the uninstall/clean install suggested by Sherry is the way to go.

Regards, Baldrick
