I have a complaint on the supposed tech support on the phone last evening. I had a question on installation on a tablet for webroot. I never have experienced anything like this from any customer service. The language barrier was an issue, but I certainly did hear very clearly many times language I or any educated person would not use in a conversation, let alone on the job as this person was. Several times I was asked how much I paid for each device I had - this is totally none of the technicials business. The issue I was having was never addressed. The only thing I did receive was a sales pitch to upgrade my security to a more expensive one. No, they did not solve the problem - did not even attempt to solve it. And no, I declined to purchase anything more since they could not even assist with the product I had already puchased.

This doesn't sound at all like our support technicians. They won't try to get you to buy software. If you are having problems with your Webroot protection then please submit a Support Ticket which is free of charge with an active subscription and they will glady help you out without any sales pitch!

Thank you - no the number was found in the program and is 866-866-2001. If this is not support, can it be removed from the program?
That's not our support number, you were most likely talking to a 3rd party support company. Can you take a screenshot of the number inside our program like you said in your last post? We dont have a number built into the program from what I remember.

Not sure about that number and maybe the Moderator@ can assist with this number. I called that number and got nothing but music or something going on. It could of been a very old number. Not sure. Anyways I would call the number in my last post for needed help and assistance. Again we apologize for any problems with that service call if it was indeed a Webroot employee.

I have just done a search for this number and several point towards it being a scammers number offering fixes for money.

Yeah I just looked up your email address in our support system and it doesn't show any tickets. Sounds like you got tricked by one of the third party support places that like to pretend they are official support for other companies. If you contact us here you can get free and good support:
