I just got Webroot on a new desktop and am not familiar with it.  Are definitions updated automatically?  Info would be appreciated.  Thanks, John
Hi @

Webroot doesn't use any definitions and works 100% cloud based.

There's a huge cloud database (100s TB) where all threat information is stored and as soon as a new type of malware is added your already protected. So as long as your client is connected to the Internet you're always up to date and software updates are also silently installed, which means that you don't have to take any actions.
Hi missedone

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Just to graphically add to the good information that regnor has already provided, if I may?

The above sums up the Webroot Intelligence Network...the power and differentiator behind WSA.

Hope that is of assistance?

Regards

Thanks@Baldrick, i really like this graphic but always can't find it 🙂
Hi regnor

My pleasure...it is called teamwork...:D

I am often in the same position, and usually TripleHelix is the one to bail me out of the 'can't find the graphic' situation.

Glad to assist.

Hello and Welcome to the Webroot Community!

Yes it's the future and it's here now and all the work is done in the Cloud and not on your PC see here for more info: http://www.brightcloud.com/platform/webroot-intelligence-network.php

Thanks,

Daniel 😉
