I purchased the webroot antivirus. Upon downloading, it would not scan. I disabled the windows defender so I could download it but the webroot program will not allow me to do so. The account shows expired on the webroot main page, but I just purchased the service today. How do I fix this?

Please try this:

 

Add they key code again

Activate 

REBOOT... do not scan before the reboot.  

 

The reboot must be done right away.

 

If you have it previously installed with a different keycode, then do a clean install if that doesn't work:

 


  • Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish its install scan
  • Reboot once again
