I checked that webroot got an update yesterday, i installed it.

Then  i rebooted my computer but most of times i need to shut down webroot and restart it because it slow downs my  browser if i dont after a reboot. But now it  wont shutdown, i put my password and captcha and nothing.

It wont turn off.

Am using win11 x64

Hello @s1raz1

That’s an odd one for me and at this time I’m not using Windows 11 so can’t say why!

It’s best to contact Webroot Support!

Thanks,

OK, an update, the issue is caused by the password and/or captcha setting if they are enabled as requirement to shutdown webroot.

If i turn off webroot  without asking me to input a password to close the app it closes fine, if a password with or without captcha setting is on, the app wont shut down.

win11 latest 23 version. I noticed this only once i installed the update that brought webroot  9.0.36.40

It also messes with windows security settings, you cant turn on webroot again on win 11 security panel unless webroot is completely shutdown.

@s1raz1 as i said contact Webroot Support as this doesn’t sound normal and they might want logs from you as if others on Win 11 have the same issues they will want to know and fix so again please contact Webroot Support directly that I posted above.
