I started a thread not long ago on what I felt was Webroot's heavy handed treatment for paid licenses about to expire.

In a nutshell, at the 30 day from expiration date, my copies of Webroot were subjected to permanent visual changes and notification popups just to let me know of my soon to expire status.

Contacting customer support led to the aknowledgement from Webroot that this was "by design".:@  To my satisfaction though, my soon to expire license was merged with a new one I had purchased last year and everything went back to normal for me.

But now I am experiencing a weekly email from Webroot letting me know that my old license is about to expire.:@

Which brings me to this new thread.

Maybe its just me, but I think Webroot should not subject its paying customers to this annoying renewal extravaganza overkill. I am sure that for happy Webroot customers like me, an ocassional reminder email will be sufficient to prompt renewal.

Webroot: please leave the heavy handed messing with the GUI "by design"  plus weekly email tactic for those on trial software only!!

And that is my opinion!
Hi DAF

I do have some sympathy with for you re. what you say, and the best way to see if you can get this changed is to is to go to the Ideas Exchange, check to see if there is already a feature request that is close enough to ref'ect your view, and if so then comment on and/kudo it as these are regularly reviewed by the Development Team. As a result this is the best mechanism by which to bring your view to the notice of the right people within Webroot.

If there is nothing suitable then why not start a new feature request and then post back here to let every one know, and so that if they want to they cango to the Exchane to support the idea, etc.

With the notification of the pendingnexpiringnof the old license I would open a support ticket and askthe Support Team to look into that for you as I am fairly certain that this should not be happening following them merging old and new licenses for you.

Do post back to let us know what they/what transpires.

Regards, Baldrick
Thanks for the feedback - I did pass it along to the dev team.
