I am using Chrome browser and running Windows Vista Home Premium. This is my first experience with Webroot and I am getting irritated at the long delays I am experiencing while "waiting for extension Webroot Filtering Extension". Working in ancestry.com this past weekend, it took a full 5 minutes to move to a new page because of this. Does anyone have an answer?

Hello ?,
Welcome to the Webroot Community,
There have been reports of this here in the Community lately.
Best thing to do is to Open a Support Ticket to let the Support Team know of this. This is a free service with an active subscription. The Support Team is usually pretty quick in responsding.
Turning off the extension, if that works for you as a temporary measure is fine and will not overly affect the protection provided by WSA. To turn off the Webroot Filter open the menu to the right upper hand corner in Chrome. Go to Setting/Extensions/ uncheck the Webroot Webfilter.
Also you could use another Browser such a IE or FireFox.
Hope this helps?

I had this issue also but it "appears" to be fixed. I noticed that there is a new CRX or extension file dated 9/23/15.
?, If I can ask, what version number is that extension dated on 9/23 ?
On my own computer, I have noticed that the problem was much less pronounced when I keep the browsing history cleared (cache, cookies, etc). I THINK the version you have will probably be 1.2.0.13 While you might see some improvement on that version, do watch for yet another new one coming hopefully soon that will provide even better results on getting rid of the problem.

Yes, that's the version. One thing I noticed on a Google search was that there was a continuously spinning icon where the extension rating icon should be. I haven't had the page loading delays that I had before so far.
Keep the browsing history cleaned out (cache, cookies, etc) It seems to really help, but again I am very hopefuly that a good permanent solution is on the horizon.@ wrote:

Thank you for the reply!!
Loaded today, CRX v1.2.0.14.
Ok, now that you have the new version of the extension, pay attentoin to how Chrome acts. In my own case, I have had that version in a Beta format for a number of days and it SEEMS to have helped the slowness in Chrome. Hopefully you will find the same results and that Chome will be working much better!@ wrote:

Well, sometimes it works fine but sometimes it's just as slow acting and I still get the spinning dots on a Goggle search where the extension check mark belongs at times. If I refresh the page, I'll sometimes get the hits with no ratings at all.
Hello,
I realize I am having ads on every webpage I visit. I use Firefox as a browser. I think firefox did an update to make my browsing faster, then I find out that "Webroot Filtering Extension" could not been verified for use of Firefox and has been disabled" It also says Webroot Filterng Extension is disabled version 1.2 0. 31
I found those information mentioned above in Firefox menu >Add-ons>Extensions
Also I lost all my passwords that were saved by Firefox
My questions are:
Is Webroot Filtering Extension disabled make my search on Firefox unsafe for my computer
How can I get rid of the ads
How can enable the password savindg on Firefox
I don't know nothing about computer, I would prefer simple answer to solved those issues :)
Thank you so much in advance

Hello France
Welcome to the Webroot Community,
To save your passwords to Firefox please look here that explains this in Mozilla https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/password-manager-remember-delete-change-and-import
To stop popups you can use a AdBlocker mentined here below: But it would be nice to know what sort of popups that you are getting because you could be getting PUA's
For Firefox uBlock: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/?src=ss
For help with your Webroot Webfilter I believe a uninstall/reinstall of Webroot will fix this issue. Can you do this or if you cannot then please Submit that Support Ticket which is free of charge with a Webroot Subscription
Webroot is still protecting you with the Webfilter being disabled. But it looks like you don't have latest update for the Webfilter.
If you feel technically inclined you can do a uninstall/reinstall and here are the instructions for that:
Please follow the steps closely!
