Best,
Hi Funkyecat

Welcome to the Community Forums.

You could always try rebooting your system if you have not done so sicne the issue started...that sometimes sorts it out.

Regards, Baldrick
Of course I rebooted. This occured under FF 32 bit and 64 bit.
Hi @ are you a bit tech savvy to try this as it works with Firefox and firefox based browsers? https://community.webroot.com/t5/Techie-KB/Unofficial-How-to-Install-the-Web-Filter-Extension-in-Firefox/ta-p/265481

Thanks,

Daniel 😉

I have to agree!
The issueis not installing the Webroot Filtering Extension. I have it. The problem is the Icon in the Upper right side where addinx are placed. The is no 'W' in green which changes on a website to show whether it is goo (check), questionable (-) in orange or (X) in red. It is fine in Chrome.

I'm pretty sure that's a chrome feature and nothing on Webroot's end. Maybe post on the Firefox Community!

It is a function of Webroot not Chrome. When it activates Webroot comes up. It is also in ther instructions (replaces WOT).

I'll have to change from Webroot.. Other Anti Virus et al programs have this feature.

My read is that Funkyecat has the Filtering Extension installed and is interested in similar to my Request in Ideas Exchange.

I've offered bread crumb to my Request.

Okay, as far as we know, there is no way to do that in Mozilla Firefox at this time.

No harm in sharing my Request with Funkyecat.

Thanks

Like I said it Could be a (Chrome Built Feature) and nothing to do with Webroot. Maybe Webroot has no control how it shows in Firefox so it would be best to ask Firefox......right. @ @

Okay, Chrome build is able to do at this time what Firefox build is not able to do.

Still, no harm in sharing my related post in Ideas Exchange with Funkyecat.

Since, Funkeycat wrote: "I'll have to change from Webroot.. Other Anti Virus et al programs have this feature".

I don't want to lose Funkyecat.

Thanks
IAs I stated it is a stated function of Webroott, there as I use Chrome and Firefox alternately, I will have to replace WR.

Like I said maybe Webroot can't do anything unless Firefox makes the changes? 😠
Hey,

we plan to provide similar functionality (the icon in the toolbar) for FireFox in one of the next releases. This is part of the new Web API support and was not available previously for browser extensions in FF. We are still working to get our backward compatibility to older FF versions sorted, so that we don't have to desupport FF ESR.

Cheers,

foo

I went into addons extentions...Webroot filtering extensions was on...so I slid it off...then slid it back on again and the green W appeared in the menu bar as normal...I clicked on it and it said a component was missing….when I closed off the browser and went back again the icon was not there
