bscription is active but when I open WEbroot icon it says it has expired. I called and it IS current. How do I get theicon to 'behave'

May I ask if your original and therefore renewal was via Webroot or Best Buy?  If the latter then it can take some 24 hours for the back office systems of Best Buy and Webroot to communicate/exchange the information necessary to get the renewal recognised. I might like to add that in these circumstances/this period you are still fully protected by WSA.

 

Can you check that the 'new' keycode you entered has indeed been recognised and is displayed in WSA...click on the My Account tab on the right hand side of the main app panel and you should see it displayed to the right of the 'Keycode' literal.  Is that the keycode that you are expecting or still the expired one?

 

Also you may  submit a Trouble Ticket to have Webroot Support take a look.
