Under Advanced Settings the box for "Scan mounted drives" is not checked.
But WebRoot scans drives mounted through FireWire anyway
WebRoot pops up warnings agout obscure files on mounted drives where I have cloned my SSD using Carbon Copy Cloner
By default I allowed WebRoot to clean up these reported infections
But my clone drives are no longer bootable
When I re-run the clone and ignore reports from WebRoot about viruses on my external drives with clones, then my clone drives are bootable as they are intended to be.
In the future I will ignore any messages about infections on my clones. The internal drives were scanned before they were cloned therefore the clones are clean.
How do I stop WebRoot from scanning external drives?
My system:
MacBook Pro 15" Mid 2010
OS X El Capitan 10.11.6
8GB memory
1TB internal SSD
replaced DVD with 500GB mechanical HDD
Through FireWire I mount 1TB, 3TB and 6TB drives for backups/clones with Carbon Copy Cloner
I also have directories of RAW and.jpg files managed by LightRoon on these external drives.

Hello mgolan,:D
If the "Scan Mounted Drives"is not checked, Webroot should not be scanning CCC. I would contact Support.
