I am getting this notification: "Another Webroot System Optimization is already in progress and will be finished shortly."

Also, Windows Security Center reports that Webroot is turned off.
Hi Strickland

Welcome to the Community Forums.

In relation to the Security Centre issue it is a known problem, caused apparently by recent changes in Windows. Please see this previous thread for details on this and a possible fix (though this has not worked for all who have tried it).

In relation to the "Another Webroot System Optimization is already in progress and will be finished shortly." I would just wait a while and then check to see if you are still getting the message. Otherwise the other option would be to reboot your system and then retry what yo were doing when you got the notification in the first place.

In my humble opinion it is nothing to worry about.

Hi Strickland

Apologies for the further post...but you have posted in the Antivirus Forum, and if that is the version that you run then I am not sure how come you are seeing what you are saying as the Optimizer feature is only available in the Complete and Antivirus for Gamers versions or the Best Buy verrsion of WSA, if memory serves.

Are you by any chance running one of those versions? If so then I would like to suggest something else as follows:

Check the Scheduler Settings for the System Optimizer (you will find them under the Scheduler tab in Advanced Settings...top right of the main app panel, and then taking the System Optimizer tab, etc.).  The reason I suggest this is that it is possible to schedule multiple days in a week for the Optimizer, and I have managed on occasion, when changing settings, to set two days rather than change one.

If that does not lead you to the cause then I would recommend that you uninstall WSA, download a fresh copy of the installer from  HERE (is a Best Buy purchase then from HERE), reboot, clean install WSA (makings sure that you do not accept to reuse previous settings if so offered by the installer), and when installed reboot before you do anything else.

Once that is done set the schedule for the System Optimizer as you want it and then check to see if the issue reoccurs.  If it does then I would Open a Support Ticket and let the Support team take a look at the circumstances, etc.

Again, apologies for the further post but it only dawned on me after I had posted the first one. If you are not a user of the aforementioned versions then please disregard the above.
