My icon disappeared ; what did you do w/ it ?

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Would you please help us here with a little more infomration as to from exactly where the Webroot Icon & Status Report were removed from? Are you referring to the green 'W' icon in the Notification tray area?
If so then I have seen this hapen from time to time and I know not why...so to get it back open WSA from hyour desktop icon, click on Advanced Settings (top righthand corner) and on the panel next displayed (should be the Installed Settings tab) check or uncheck the 'Show a System Tray icon', and then press 'Save' (enter the CAPTCHA code when prompted) and then IF you had to UNCHECK the setting in the previous step (so it is currently uncheck) go and check/tick the setting so it is now checked...and press 'Save' again (no CAPTCHA this time) and you should find the green 'W' icon has reappeared.
The above is on the assumption that I have correctly anticpated your problem so if that is not the case then please provide more infomration on your specific issue.
