My Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus tells me I have an active threat, yet when I scan, it doesn't finish. It gets to about 70% at the most and then disappears.

Hi pnoman
Welcome to the Security Forums.
OK, lets deal with the scanning issue. So WSA did not initiate the scan automatically, but rather you started it manually?
Well, in either case, if it has not completed after a reasonable time then I would click on the Cancel button in the bottom right hand corner, and then when the main app panel is redisplayed, close WSA, Reboot and then try running the same scan again.
If the issue with the scan not running persists then please carry out a clean reinstall of WSA and following the steps below closely!
Please let us know whether the above helps or not and if not then we will look to see if we can provide a PLan B.

- Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
- KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
- Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
- Uninstall WSA and Reboot
- Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
- Let it finish it's install scan
- Reboot once again
Please let us know whether the above helps or not and if not then we will look to see if we can provide a PLan B.

thanks for starting this thread. Mine has also been doing the same thing for a couple days now. Mine stops at 38% every time then vanishes. I will try uninstalling and reenstall. Hopefully that fixes it.
I will monitor this post to see if others are having this issue because this does not seem normal.

Hi Chris
You are most welcome...I hope that this does sort ot for you...sometimes it does sometimes not...eitherway, let us know how you get on and if it is in the negative, as I said before, we will get our thinking caps on to see if we can propose something else before you need to go to the Support tesm for professional assistance.
