Hello, it appears webroot recently tried to install an update on my machine today. After I shutdown and restarted it I received a popup - there is a folder on your computer called c:program which may cause certain applications to not funtion correctly. Renaming it to c:Program1 would solve this. Would you like to do this, yes, or ignore. I can't see exactly which file or folder it means, c: prog are pretty much all so I am concerned about renaming it. Why I think it is related to webroot - In my start up on the task manager I see webroot installer 2x and webroot secure anywhere, however under the Processes tab I see webroot, but cannot click to stop.
See other solutions for the issue here: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Endpoint-Protection-and-GSM/File-named-C-Program/m-p/78165#M3614 and/or here: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/File-name-Warning/td-p/59413
I cannot access webroot from the tray, the icon does not show, and I cannot stop via taskmanager.
I'd either open a support ticket or boot into safe mode, uninstall it and reboot to normal and then reinstall it.
Will it matter if I do nothing with this dialogue nox, not choose, rename or ignore?
I don't know, I'm not a Webroot engineer.  I think I've seen that before and just chose to ignore it and nothing bad happened.
I opened a ticket and got an auto reply to download Webroot console - not happening. Hope they reply to my ticket directly

Have a great weekend!
Hello -

I did receive instructions (though for Win 7 and 8, but easy enough to adjust for 10). I changed the file to an exe and attempted to uninstall webroot. I am not interested in reinstalling webroot at this time. Upon rebooting, the program was no longer listed in apps and no longer showed up in my tray as running. But there is still a Webroot folder on my computer in C programs as well as wruninstall. Additionally, there are still the two instances of Webroot installer that show in my Task Manager under the Startup tab. TM shows that these take a high amount of resources at startup and I have noticed a slowdown. I tried to disable them, but it did not seem to help. Am I able to safely remove the Webroot folder and the wruninstall? How do I completely remove webroot?

Thank you
You can completely remove Webroot by running this program: https://www.webroot.com/prodCheck/?pc=64150&origrc=1&oc=221&mjv=7&rel=6&bld=38&lang=en&loc=AUS&kc=ppc%60lkik%5E%5Eafhgpewgfa&opi=2&omj=6&omn=1&osl=en  On that page there is a link to this file: http://download.webroot.com/WRUpgradeTool.exe
@, that Utility will only work for Legacy (Old) version of Webroot, primarily SpySweeper and releases before SecureAnywhere.

Sorry but that Tool is for the 2011 and older versions of Webroot not Webroot SecureAnywhere: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-Legacy-Products-2011-and/Uninstalling-older-Webroot-Software/ta-p/56183
